So, Obama is speaking to giant crowds in Germany. But who is the intended audience for this kind of a speech? It’s us of course.
People are fawning over his speech in Germany and about how Obama can make America a leader in the world again. Finally, our bruised superiority complex can be healed. We just don’t know who we are if we can’t believe that everybody else wants to be just like us.
He’s talking to Germans for a lot of reasons, but one of them is flattery, and the person being flattered is you.
